Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
A healthy smoothie made with just 4 ingredients. This Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie is thick, creamy, and a great energy booster!
In the summertime I crave smoothies. Wait a minute, that’s not right. I crave smoothies all year long! Especially this easy Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie, made with just four ingredients in a matter of minutes.
I like to make all kinds of smoothies, but I have to say this one is my absolute favorite. Because, um, peanut butter. Can’t get enough of the stuff! We go through peanut butter like crazy in our house. Mostly because I bake with it. And William eats a pb&j sandwich pretty much daily. Julia still won’t touch peanut butter though. I don’t get it. How can you not like peanut butter, even in cookie form? Maybe one day she’ll come around. 😉
The ingredient list for this smoothie is simple. There’s peanut butter, obviously. And banana (of course). I add Greek yogurt for creaminess and extra protein, and milk to thin it out a bit. Although even with the milk this smoothie is really thick and creamy, which I love. If you want your smoothie a little thinner just add more milk.
I often blend up one of these Peanut Butter Banana Smoothies mid-morning, when I need a quick snack. It’s the perfect way to refuel when I’ve got a lot to do. I can even take this smoothie on the go with me if I need to run errands or take the kids to swim lessons.

Thank you, Catherine!
I find myself making smoothies all the time, especially in the summer! This one sounds fantastic, Kristine! I love the peanut butter and banana combo. Sounds perfect!
Thank you, Gayle! One of my favorite snacks is a banana with peanut butter, and this smoothie reminds me of that only better!
I love smoothies, and there’s nothing like the peanut butter banana combo! I generally don’t like pulling out the blender first thing in the morning and do it later for a post work out snack. This smoothie is on my list to make!
I’m the same Marcie, every once in a while I’ll make a smoothie for breakfast, but more often it’s my morning or afternoon snack. If you try this one I hope you like it!
Thanks for reminding me that I need to stop thinking about making healthy smoothies and start making them. This is so good and good for you!
Thanks, Thao! This smoothie is so easy to make, you should definitely give it a try!
Peanut butter and banana smoothies are my favorite! So tasty!
Mine too! 🙂
I Love This! My blender holds enough to double the recipe, so I drink one and send my husband off with one for the road. Neither of us can believe how well it helps us stay full all morning, yet it’s so tasty and easy to make. I had some apples I swapped for the bananas once and wow it’s great too.
I’m glad you’re enjoying this smoothie! It’s one of my favorites, too. Thanks for sharing the tip about swapping apples for the bananas. 🙂
