Gingerbread Coffee - Your steaming mug of coffee is extra special with a hint of warm gingerbread spices.

I was shopping at Trader Joe’s a few weeks ago and noticed a canister of Gingerbread Coffee on the shelf. I picked it up and almost put it in my cart, but then realized that fully caffeinated Gingerbread Coffee wasn’t going to do me much good right now. That canister of coffee sparked my interest, though, and I decided to create my own Gingerbread Coffee.  That way, I could make the flavor and caffeine level just what I wanted.

It could not be easier to make this Gingerbread Coffee at home. Simply stir together ground coffee with gingerbread spices, brew, and enjoy. The tricky part was finding just the right ratio of spices and coffee. I tested and retested the recipe until I found a combination that I was really happy with. This Gingerbread Coffee has a hint of gingerbread spice, without being overpowering. The coffee and gingerbread flavors are perfectly balanced so you can enjoy your coffee with a festive gingerbread twist.

I like my Gingerbread Coffee best unsweetened with just a splash of half n half. You can enjoy yours however you like your coffee best. If you’re feeling indulgent, add a swirl of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon for a real treat.

I’ll be taking a break from posting until next week to enjoy the holidays with my family. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season!
