30 Healthy Snacks You Will Crave!
30 healthy, homemade snacks to satisfy any craving. From sweet to salty to crunchy to creamy, there’s something on this list for everyone!
I love snacks. I pretty much eat all day long, with a meal or snack at least every couple of hours. (Even when I’m not eating for two!) I have my go-to favorite snacks, but I also like to mix things up once in a while and try some new ideas. With my recent commitment to stop buying packaged snacks, I decided a list of my favorite homemade snacks plus lots of new ideas would be a great resource going into the new year.
I’ve searched through some of my favorite blogs to put together an awesome collection of healthy snack options for you (and me, too). I want to try each and every one of these recipes. The hard part is deciding which one to make first. Which would you choose?
Bars & Bites
No-Bake Energy Bites – Filled with oats, flaxseed, coconut, and mini chocolate chips, you won’t be able to resist these little bites! They are the perfect take and go snack.
Apple, Cinnamon, and Raisin Chewy Granola Bars – Warm spices and oats make these chewy granola bars the perfect snack to enjoy with your afternoon cup of tea.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Granola Bars from Maebells – I can’t get enough of the chocolate, peanut butter and banana combo and I love that these bars have all three!
No-Bake Honey Maple Cashew Bars from My Sequined Life – How incredible do these bars look? I love the simple ingredient list, and that they are no-bake!
No Bake Peanut Butter Granola Bars from Live Well Bake Often – These are for all of us true peanut butter lovers! Take one of these granola bars along to keep you going through your morning at work or out running errands.
No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Energy Bars by Flavor the Moments – Because I love no-bake bars, I just had to include one more. Made with dark cocoa powder and a hint of espresso, these would be amazing with a cup of coffee.
Chocolate Almond Date Balls from The Well Floured Kitchen – Made with a delicious list of natural ingredients, including dates, coconut oil, and cocoa powder, these bites are a healthy way to satisfy your chocolate craving.
No-Bake Apricot Chia Energy Bars from Cupcakes and Kale Chips – A nut-free energy bar that looks totally scrumptious!
Homemade Crackers
Poppy Seed Crackers from The Pretty Bee – These look perfectly crisp and I can’t get over that salty sprinkle!
Whole Grain Graham Crackers – One of my absolute favorite DIY recipes. With a smear of peanut butter on top, these lightly spiced graham crackers are a good balance of whole grain carbs and protein.
Easy Gluten Free Crackers from The Pretty Bee – If you eat gluten-free, these easy crackers are for you!
Snacks with Crunch
Candied Nut Cranberry-Apple Snack Mix from Whole and Heavenly Oven – One bite of this snack mix and I’d have a hard time stopping. The sweet-crunchy-spicy combo sounds amazing! This one is perfect to take along when you’re on the go.
Baked Apples with Granola from Pumpkin ‘n Spice – A fun way to enjoy a favorite fruit, who could resist that crunchy granola topping? Not me.
Ginger-Cinnamon Apple Chips from Rachel Cooks – Here’s another delicious way to enjoy those apples! Simple recipes like this one are my favorite, and I love that they are spiced with ginger and cinnamon. My kids would love to come home to these apple chips for an after school snack.
Baked BBQ Sweet Potato Chips from She Likes Food – Baked sweet potato chips are one of my favorite things ever, and this BBQ seasoned version looks incredible. These are perfect game-day food!
Salt and Pepper Zucchini Chips from Frugal Living Mom – Whoever invented vegetable chips is just brilliant. These look like the best way to enjoy zucchini.
Italian Herb Kale Chips from Maebells – Kale chips are incredibly addicting. Seasoned with Italian herbs, garlic and Parmesan? I’d eat the whole bowl.
Cheesy Pizza Cauliflower Bites from She Likes Food – Not only are these bites cheesy, but they’re spiced with pizza seasonings, too! Wouldn’t they be a great healthy offering at your Superbowl party?
Perfect Microwave Popcorn from Two Healthy Kitchens – The ladies behind Two Healthy Kitchens have done all of the testing for us, so we can make perfect, healthy microwave popcorn in our own kitchens.
Healthy Muffins
Healthy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Muffins from American Heritage Cooking – A healthy muffin that looks this good? Yes, please!
Healthy Carrot Cake Oat Muffins – Low in sugar and packed with veggies, these muffins are light, moist, and delicious! And they’re not just for breakfast or snacktime, they make a great lunchbox addition, too.
Smoothies
Cocoa-Almond Protein Smoothie – This healthy smoothie is full of filling protein and tastes like dessert!
Peanut Butter Banana Spinach Smoothie from American Heritage Cooking– I love that this smoothie is packed with nutritious spinach, and made with only four ingredients.
Dips
Smoky Sweet Potato Hummus from Sweet Peas and Saffron – How amazing does this hummus look? I cannot wait to try it.
Healthy White Bean Dip from Yummy Healthy Easy – Fresh cut veggies won’t stand a chance when dipped in this white bean dip. Lemon juice, garlic, rosemary, and red pepper flakes add tons of flavor.
3 Dips to Get You Eating More Veggies from Modern Parents Messy Kids – Which would you choose – peanut butter honey, herbed ranch, or white bean hummus?
Yummy Nut Butter Snacks
Maple Roasted Almond Butter from Kitchen Simplicity – It’s unbelievable easy to make your own nut butter, and I love that this almond butter is flavored with pure maple syrup. I’d spread it on graham crackers and apple slices!
Chocolate-Peanut Butter Granola Apple Bites from The Comfort of Cooking – One of my favorite snacks is apple slices with peanut butter. I can’t wait to try adding granola and a chocolate drizzle!
Peanut Butter Banana Toast with Granola and Honey from The Law Student’s Wife – I make peanut butter toast with honey all the time, but the addition of granola takes this snack to a whole new level.
