Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt* or mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  • Place the Dijon mustard, plain Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise) and honey in a small bowl. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
  • Taste and adjust the ingredient amounts as needed, to your taste preferences. If the Dijon flavor is too strong, mix in another tablespoon of yogurt (or mayo). If it's too sweet, add a little more Dijon or yogurt. If it's not sweet enough, add a little more honey. If you want a spicy kick to your honey mustard sauce, mix in a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Enjoy as a dipping sauce for chicken or vegetables, salad dressing, sandwich spread, etc.

Notes

  • I recommend using full-fat or low-fat plain Greek yogurt, not non-fat.
  • If you want a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Prepared honey mustard sauce may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, as long as the yogurt doesn't expire before then. Stir to recombine the ingredients before serving.
