Our favorite green smoothie starts with kale, banana, and frozen fruit. A squeeze of lemon juice and a dollop of Greek yogurt make this smoothie a little creamy and ultra refreshing... yum!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed kale leaves removed from stems
  • ½ medium banana
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt optional
  • 1 cup frozen mango cubes or peaches
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¾-1 cup cold water
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients (starting with ¾ cup water) in a blender and blend for 2-3 minutes, until smooth, adding ¼ cup more water as needed to achieve desired thickness. Serve immediately.
