A Baby Shower (for Twin Girls!)
This weekend my sister, Lisa, and I threw a baby shower for our sister, Karen. Karen is expecting twin girls in a few months and we couldn’t be more excited for her. We had so much fun planning a shower to celebrate these twin baby girls!
Lisa is amazingly creative and artistic, so she is responsible for many of the creative details from the shower, including adorable mason jars and labels for the beverages. Our guests really enjoyed drinking their pink lemonade out of the cute mason jars.
The pink lemonade was a hit!
Lisa also made these personalized water bottle favors.
I, of course, was most excited to plan the menu for the shower (especially dessert ๐ ). The shower was held at lunchtime, and we decided to keep the main course simple with salads and sandwiches. Here is our menu:
Baby Shower Menu
Beverages:
- Pink Lemonade
- White Wine
- Ice Water
Appetizers:
- Italian Sausage Skewers
- Tomato & Basil Bruschetta
Main Course:
- Croissant Sandwiches
- Green Salad with Toasted Walnuts, Berries, and Feta
- Pesto Pasta Salad
- Fruit Salad
Dessert:
- Vanilla Cupcakes with Raspberry Filling
- Decaf Coffee
The water bottle favors and cupcakes on pretty stands decorated the dessert table.
The guests were happily surprised to find a raspberry filling in these delicious vanilla bean cupcakes. I’m excited to share this recipe soon!
My mom was also invaluable to our shower preparations. In addition to many behind the scenes details, she helped by making two of the salads and decorating the lunch tables. For the table centerpieces she arranged baby toys in cute polka dot boxes. She also used fresh roses, candles, and polka dot napkins to decorate the tables. Everything was so adorable and pretty!
We had two games for the shower guests to play: a necklace game and baby gift bingo. For the necklace game, guests had to be sure not to say the words, “baby,” “babies,” or “twins,” or else their necklace would be taken by another guest! Quite a challenge at a baby shower!
Congratulations, Karen and Eric! We cannot wait to meet your baby girls!

Such happiness for Karen! Thank you, to you and Lisa, for all your planning
and preparations! An enjoyable afternoon was had by all!
The shower was so much fun! Thanks for all your hard work! ๐
I love these cute ideas! Thank you! ๐
Curious to know if you remember where you got the little feet charms for the mason jars? Absolutely adorable!
I don’t remember for sure, but it was probably Michael’s. They usually have that type of thing. ๐
